The Staff Council is a developing representative body intended to support staff voice, connection, and engagement across º£½ÇÉçÇø. Through collaboration, communication, and participation, the future council aims to help strengthen opportunities for staff involvement in campus dialogue and community-building.

All eligible staff members are encouraged to participate in Staff Council initiatives, events, and campus conversations. Under the current draft bylaws, staff who work a minimum of 20 hours per week for at least 9 months of the year will be eligible to vote in Staff Council elections.

Eligible staff members may nominate themselves or colleagues to serve on the Staff Council. Nominees would submit a brief biography, headshot, and statement of interest before participating in a campus election process. Elections would include both online and paper ballots, with voting conducted by eligible staff members. Opportunities for staff to meet candidates and learn more about their interest in serving would also be provided prior to voting.

Staff are encouraged to share questions, ideas, and feedback as the future Staff Council framework continues to develop. Feedback may currently be submitted by email at oxy-staff-council@oxy.edu. A staff feedback survey and additional participation opportunities will be added to this page soon.
